Board names Police Chief finalists, sets public forum

Members of the Kansas City Missouri Board of Police Commissioners announced today that the finalists for the Chief of Police position are Major Rick Smith of the KCPD and Chief Keith Humphrey of the Norman, Okla., Police Department.

The Board also announced the two finalists will answer questions from the public in a forum from 6 to 8 p.m. next Thursday, July 27, in the Community Room of Police Headquarters, 1125 Locust St. Community members are encouraged to attend and submit questions for the finalists. Questions must be submitted by 5 p.m. the day of the forum, July 27.
