The station was built in 1976 and is located at 11109 Hickman Mills Drive. When you come to the station, there is public parking available right as you turn into our parking lot.  Once you enter the station, there is a front desk area where you can make police reports and buy copies of police reports. 

A desk sergeant supervises activities at the front desk and within the station. He is responsible for timekeeping, approving reports, and setting bonds.

Before going out on patrol, officers meet together with their sergeant to receive crime information, handle administrative tasks, and address training issues.

When officers arrest cooperative subjects, they are allowed an opportunity to bond out from the SPD detention unit.  Uncooperative subjects are taken directly to Headquarters.

Since police work can be physically demanding, a gym facility is provided for officers so that they can exercise and lift weights to keep themselves in top physical condition.
