Media Relations office. Our Department
serves as the center for media communications
by disseminating information through
the news media and publications.
The
Media Relation's professional staff
gathers and distributes news to media
throughout the greater Kansas City area
as well as across the State of Missouri.
Our staff consists of media professionals
as well as trained Police Officers that
respond to questions about the many
Kansas City Missouri Police Department
events, programs, and public issues.
The
Media Relations department is a multifaceted
department with many responsibilities
including: retirements, publishing the
KCPD Newsletter "The Informant",
designing multimedia productions, coordinating
public events and ceremonies, establishing
the Departments calendar, as well as
answering questions from citizens, and
press releases.
