Admission Requirements
The KC Regional Police Academy does not accept enrollment from individuals.
Entrance to the Kansas City Missouri Regional Police Academy requires sponsorship (employment) by the Kansas City Missouri Police Department or an area law enforcement agency that sends their recruits to us for training.
Additionally, the following Police and Sheriff Departments have used our academy in the past for basic law enforcement training. However, attendance at our academy depends on the individual agency’s license requirements when hiring.

For Area Law Enforcement Agencies Only :
Tuition Cost is $5,000 per recruit, plus $315 for uniforms and equipment.
Ammunition must be supplied for each recruit enrolled:
- 5,000 rounds of handgun ammunition of the caliber used by your agency, with lead free primers.
- 500 rounds of shotgun ammunition, which can be buckshot or slug. We would prefer it be one or the other and not a combination of the two for the entire 500 rounds.
We are accepting enrollments from regional agencies.
