Below are the votes from the special closed session of the Board of Police Commissioners telephone conference meeting on May 12, 2017, beginning at 10:02 a.m.:

Mayor James had an excused absence.

Following a motion by Commissioner Rader and a second by Commissioner Brooks, the Board voted to appoint David Zimmerman as the interim Chief of Police, effective on May 20, 2017, following the retirement of Chief Darryl Forté. The vote was 4-0 in favor. Following polling, Commissioner Rader voted Aye, Commissioner Brooks voted Aye, Commissioner Wasson-Hunt voted Aye, and Commissioner Shurin voted Aye.

Following a motion by Commissioner Brooks and a second by Commissioner Wasson-Hunt, the Board voted to come out of special closed session and adjourn. The vote was 4-0 in favor. Following polling, Commissioner Rader voted Aye, Commissioner Brooks voted Aye, Commissioner Wasson-Hunt voted Aye, and Commissioner Shurin voted Aye.

The Board adjourned at 10:13 a.m.
